TCR's take is that to be successful in Texas this year, conservatives need to be 100% focused on this absolute truth: all politics is local.
The localization of the 2018 election of course means focusing on the bottom of the ballot up, building momentum to ensure a bottom to top victory. This also assists us in electing the ticket and taking attention away from toxic Washington D.C.
Understand, the left-wing media will do all it can to focus on D.C. and we in response need to run an effective campaign to ensure it's all about Texas.
While we're at it, it's critical to expose the radical leftists/socialists running as moderates on the Democratic side. FYI, incredibly the socialists have invaded the judicial candidates for Democrats this year. (Can you imagine how on earth a socialist can be fair to a private business? You thought we had a lawsuit abuse problem 20 years ago.)
Invasion, That's What The Caravan Is From Central America Seeking Illegal Entry Into Texas
You may have read there is a so-called caravan of 1,600 or so illegals sponsored by a group called "People Without Borders."
The group plans to illegally enter Texas and ask for asylum. In case you haven't seen their other "demands" in the left-wing mainstream media, here are a few:
- That we open the borders to them, as they are as much citizens as the people of countries where "we" travel.
- That they have a "right" to dignified work.
Let's just tell it like it is, the Democrats support no border at all and we support a legal immigration system and enforcement of our laws already on the books!
Harris County, Texas: The Center Of The Political Universe?
Yes it's true, Harris County is in fact the center. Harris County is larger than 25 states!
Harris County is the key county in Texas and a political battleground. Two years ago the Republicans lost all countywide races and to Hillary Clinton by more than 160,000 votes.
So, as we move into the 2018 general election cycle, Harris County is the key battleground, not just for Texas but the nation. An erosion of votes similar to what occurred in Dallas County would put Texas closer to be in play in the 2020 or 2024 Presidential elections.
National GOP funders should be very interested in restoring Harris County to its rightful place in Red Nation, as a loss similar to 2016 and Texas is moving toward joining the blue wall.
If that occurs, the odds of the GOP winning the White House drops precipitously!
A History Lesson In Gaza
The so-called "Great Return March," is in reality an attempt to invade sovereign Israel. The protests include pipe bombs, Molotov cocktails, rocks and burning tires directed towards Israeli soldiers and with attempts to penetrate the wall and place terrorists into Israel proper.
But it's important to remember history, in 2005 Israel left Gaza and turned it over to the Palestinian Authority. Soon after the agricultural development turned over and the synagogues, and any examples of Jewish life were destroyed quickly.
Beginning in 2007, Hamas, who had thrown the Palestinian Authority out of Gaza, fired around 10,000 missiles on Israel, which resulted in 3 wars in 2008, 2012, and 2014.
At the march, Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar said, "The March of Return will continue...until we remove this transient border." The protests "mark the beginning of a new phase in the Palestinian National struggle on the road to liberation and return...our people can't give up one inch of the land of Palestine."
So, like other tyrants, Hamas tells exactly what they want - no compromise, no peace, No Israel. There is no peace process.

TCR Comment: With all the talk about taking away our Second Amendment rights, it is important to recall the history of such efforts before 2002. It's not pretty what happens to those disarmed.
